Hobie Kayak Guided Tours
Camano Marine is pleased to announce the introduction of its new Kayaking Adventure island kayak tours. With miles of sheltered scenic shoreline, Camano Island is the perfect launch point for beginning to advanced kayakers. Whether you choose a close-up encounter with snow geese or the marine sanctuary of English Boom you will have a trip to remember.
Naturalist Tour: Camano Island's shoreline includes saltwater marshes, grasslands, and forest habitats. Join this tour to study local plants and animals in their natural setting. There is no guarantee of animal sightings as they have a mind of their own!
Birding Tour: Camano Island is the home of the Northwest's largest Heron rookery. In addition, many species of waterfowl can be found along its miles of shoreland—including Raptors, Snow Geese, Ducks, and Swans. Join our birding tour and discover what other shore birds lurk along the water's edge.
Sunset Tour: Experience the most beautiful and peaceful time on the water. View the Camano inlets and surrounding mountains just before sunset on this stunning and romantic tour.
Historical Tour: Camano Island is full of historical tragedies and triumphs. On this tour for history buffs you will learn of the Native Americans, mills dating back to the Civil War, fishing and hunting resorts, and yes, our own Camano Ferry.
Tour Details:
- All tours are 1 1/2 to 2 hours including instruction and safety information provided before launch.
- Tour cost is $49 per person and includes use of kayak, paddles, life vest, and safety equipment.
- Tour cost (up to $49) can be applied toward the purchase of a new kayak within 30 days of tour.

Kayak Tour Guide
Meet Jennifer Chapin, an outdoor enthusiast and Camano Marine's kayak tour guide. Jennifer was trained as a coastal kayak instructor by the American Canoe Association and the British Canoe Union 3 Star. She is also experienced in group instruction for beginners. Personal training is available by appointment.
Tour Cancellation & Refund Policy
Full payment is required at the time of reservation to reserve your place on any tour.
Full Refund: We reserve the right to change any itinerary to match existing conditions. If we must cancel due to unsafe or unsuitable weather or sea conditions, you will have your choice of credit, or a full refund. We are not responsible for non-refundable hotel or transportation costs.
Refund: If you cancel more than five days before your tour, you will receive a refund or credit (your choice), less a $10/person service charge.
No Refund: No refund or credit will be given if you cancel less than 5 days before your tour or if you fail to attend any part of it. You may substitute another paddler provided they meet any skill or experience requirements.
Hobie Kayak Rental Program
Kayak rentals are available to adults over the age of 18. One hour minimum rental is required. Purchase three rental hours and receive a fourth hour free.
If you are not an experienced kayaker we strongly recommend taking a short introductory safety course prior to renting.
There are two models available for rent. Rental fees include paddle and life vest. Rental customers will need to possess necessary equipment for transportation (i.e. car rack).
Hobie Mirage Outfitter Tandem - $18 per hour
Hobie Mirage Outback SUV - $15 per hour
